6 weeks

Today we had an unplanned trip to the doctor's office to check their weights before increasing the Zantac dosage to treat acid reflux for BOTH girls.

Sofia: 8 lbs 9.5oz (she gained a pound in 10 days!)
Maia: 7 lbs 10.5oz

The girls have an appointment next Friday to see a pediatric radiologist and have an ultrasound on their little bellies to rule out anything else.

Other milestones for the week...

Monday we went shopping for our Christmas outfits. Tuesday night we slept from 10ish till almost 3 and Wednesday from 10ish till about 2, but Thursday we were up every hour or so... oh well.

We also started using our playmat and it holds our attention for about 15 minutes!

For Thanksgiving we went to Nana and Grampa's house. Auntie J helped us get ready and we wore matching red overalls.

One Month Old!

On Monday we had our one month doctor appointment and we have grown!

Sofia: 7 lbs 10 oz and 19.5 inches long
Maia: 7 lbs 5 oz and 19.5 inches long

Doctor said everything was perfect.
Maia was given a prescription for Zantac for acid reflux which will hopefully soothe the projectile puking, we have to call and follow up with the doctor in 2 weeks.

We do not have to go back until we are 2 months old and will get our first set of shots.

We also had another 'growth milestone'... we no longer fit into our preemie clothes!

Veteran's Day

On Sunday, November 11th we had a 'meet and greet' at Nana and Grampa's house. We went there about lunchtime with the help of Auntie J and Brent, and hung out all afternoon meeting family.

Lions and tigers and bears... Oh My!

Friday night we started our first tradition.... we got all jammied and comfy in the big bed and cuddled up to watch the Wizard of Oz.

Of course 2/3 of us were unable to stay awake and watch but its never too early to start a family tradition!!

Another first.... we also had our first bottles on Friday which Auntie J fed us. We weren't sure what to make of them, we did ok but we made a mess. Good thing for bibs!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a day full of doctor appointments.

The girls had their 2 week appointment and received all good news. Sofie's color and temperature are normal, and she weighs 5 lbs 14 oz. Maia weighs 5 lbs 9 oz. We go back in a couple weeks for our 1 month appointment.

I also had a doctor appointment and was cleared to drive again! Yay!! And I got weighed too, down to 118 lbs already!! I've lost 30 of the 50 lbs I gained during my pregnancy. I go back at the end of the month for my 6 week appointment, at which time my tailbone should be almost healed.
