Vampire report

copied from myspace.com

Yesterday was another ultrasound and the little vampires are doing very well! They went from weighing approximately 2.5lbs each to 3.3lbs each in A WEEK!! I got almost 7lbs of baby in me already!
And they have hair, like a good amount of it!!! I am dying to know what color it is (Pete says it wont matter because even if they aren't redheads, I'll die it red when they're like 4 anyway hahaha!!)

They are both still head down which makes me very happy, and I wish they had taken a picture because all 4 little legs were all tangled up together and we could see little feet and toes. It was very cute!

Good news is bedrest seems to be working because my cervix are holding at 1.9cm (even though I am having a few contractions an hour!) which means I get to stay home instead of being in the hospital. Yay! And it means I get this week off from my weekly Boston roadtrips.

I got to see them both in 3D again, and they look like little dolls! I definitely make some beautiful babies!

Monday I have that dreadful 3hr diabetes test, and my weekly doctor appointment on Wednesday.
Tuesday I will be 30 weeks which means only 4 more weeks then I can serve them with an eviction notice!!
Till then....

Grrrr....

copied from myspace.com (edited for language)

I failed that damn diabetes test!! And get this.... even though they said I only have to keep them in for 5 more weeks and they'd be happy, I STILL HAVE TO DO THE 3HR TEST!!!
This ******* sucks!! Being up and about that long is guaranteed to make me have crazy contractions, like a few an hour isnt enough already! I dont want another 'speed' shot to stop them. Ugh!

And I am still anemic, I take 2 damn iron pills a day and these vampires are literally just sucking the life out of me!

The good news is I did pass the other test, ffn, which means the chances of me going into labor in the next week are slim.

So beginning Friday I have a doc appt almost every damn day!

Today's ultrasound update

copied from myspace.com (edited for language)

I had another ultrasound today (yeah I am having them weekly!) and I actually got some good news!...

First off, I am still AT HOME on bedrest, which I have decided isnt THAT bad. It would definitely SUCK hardcore if I had to spend the next 6 weeks in the hospital so I will stop complaining about being on bedrest at home.

Also bedrest seems to be working, my cervix have not shrunk anymore which is the BEST news!

The babes are doing very very good! They are in the 81st & 82nd percentile and weigh about 2.5 lbs each! And they are both head down!! (No freakin c-section!! woo-hoo!)

I got tons of pictures of them today too, like 10 of them including some 3D of BOTH and they are ******* BEAUTIFUL! (seriously they're mine though so of course they would be, right)

Come on September 25th, I just have to hold them in till then!!
Another doctor appointment on Tuesday and ultrasound on Friday so until then....

Caging the Lion

copied from myspace.com

I had my ultrasound on Wednesday.... the good news is my babes are doing well, the bad news is I am not.

My cervix is shortening, it was holding at 3 cm for the past few months but unfortunately this time it was only 1.9 cm. To BED with you!! So needless to say I am on modified bedrest. I have to remain laying in bed, on my couch or in the recliner. No stairs, no standing, no sitting, no driving. I can get up to go pee, take a quick shower and grab a drink. And NO sex or masturbating!!

My doctor told me to come in either Thurs or Fri for a fetal monitoring, if I didnt feel well then she wanted to see me sooner not later. So Jamie drove me to Newton Wellesley and I had a little visit with my doctor last night because I was not feeling so good. She hooked me all up and said the babes are doing VERY well, good little heartbeats and LOTS of movement.

Then she monitored contractions, and while they could clearly see I was having them they asked if I felt it 'oh yeah thats the babes rolling over or stretching', um NO thats a contraction! 'Oh I get those all the time! hahaha' (but seriously how the hell would I know, I've never done this before)
They continued to monitor them and it turns out I was having more that 4 an hour. Oops! So they gave me a shot which would stop them but it was like they injected me with 5 shots of expresso! I was shaking, heart racing and wanted to go run or something.
After another hour of monitoring she let me go home because they had stopped my contractions. Yay!

I have another doctor appointment on Monday with more fetal monitoring and that fun diabetes test, and now have WEEKLY ultrasounds in Boston.
They will be happy if I can keep these little buggers in til 34 weeks which seems so far away when I think of it in terms of 7 weeks (of LAYING around!!) but as far as dates go thats only September 25th which seems kind of close! ARGH!!!!
