Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It is snowing again! I never even got to drive my car after cleaning it off 2 days ago!
And since we are too young to play in it (I cant very well put them in snowsuits and have them making snow angels!!), we decided to have a photoshoot! The girls didnt have as much fun as the mommy did.

Say cheese!

This past week we have been all smiles! Of course as soon as the camera came out we got bashful... or it could be because we were naked!!
(Needless to say I got no pictures of their smiles but they still look wicked cute!!)

First ultrasounds outside the womb

Yesterday we had our appointment with the pediatric radiologist to have our belly ultrasounds. The good news is they were able to see the sugar water going into our bellies and see the belly walls. So I guess that means it is nothing worse than acid reflux. We refilled our Rx of Zantac and will continue with that.

Concerned family members patiently awaited our return home to visit with us. It had been over a week since we had seen Mimi and we also met our Great Auntie Dee!

We were so tired after a long and exciting day that Sofia went to bed at 8:30pm and slept until 2:30am.... 6 HOURS!! And Maia finally caught on, she slept from 9pm until 2am.... 5 HOURS!!
And the Mommy went to bed at 10:30pm so I got 3.5 CONSECUTIVE hours of sleep, the most I have had in MONTHS!
Yay for sleeping babies! Hopefully this is the start of a trend and not a fluke! I guess we'll see tonight...

The Sleep Whisperer

Last Saturday we finally met our purple-haired tattoo-bearing Auntie Kristin. She came and played with us while did baths, and she wore us out!

That night Sofia slept from 9pm - 2am! Since then she has slept 4.5-5 hrs almost every night! Too bad Maia was still up every 2-3 hrs....

6 weeks

Today we had an unplanned trip to the doctor's office to check their weights before increasing the Zantac dosage to treat acid reflux for BOTH girls.

Sofia: 8 lbs 9.5oz (she gained a pound in 10 days!)
Maia: 7 lbs 10.5oz

The girls have an appointment next Friday to see a pediatric radiologist and have an ultrasound on their little bellies to rule out anything else.

Other milestones for the week...

Monday we went shopping for our Christmas outfits. Tuesday night we slept from 10ish till almost 3 and Wednesday from 10ish till about 2, but Thursday we were up every hour or so... oh well.

We also started using our playmat and it holds our attention for about 15 minutes!

One Month Old!

On Monday we had our one month doctor appointment and we have grown!

Sofia: 7 lbs 10 oz and 19.5 inches long
Maia: 7 lbs 5 oz and 19.5 inches long

Doctor said everything was perfect.
Maia was given a prescription for Zantac for acid reflux which will hopefully soothe the projectile puking, we have to call and follow up with the doctor in 2 weeks.

We do not have to go back until we are 2 months old and will get our first set of shots.

We also had another 'growth milestone'... we no longer fit into our preemie clothes!

Veteran's Day

On Sunday, November 11th we had a 'meet and greet' at Nana and Grampa's house. We went there about lunchtime with the help of Auntie J and Brent, and hung out all afternoon meeting family.
