10months old!

Here it is, the 10mo update! We are into the double digits now, there is no turning back! We WILL be ONE (1)! VERY soon! When did this happen?! Who decided this was a good idea?! Is it up for discussion?!

It has been a LONG month! After the dedication, Monday the 4th, exactly one month after she got her first tooth, Maia popped another tooth, on the bottom. And Sofie got a fever!
By Wednesday Maia had a fever as well, at one point reaching 103. FIRST trip to the pedi's, and its Hand Foot and Mouth Disease. Blisters in their throats and C~R~A~N~K~Y!
Friday: Sofie gets a cough and runny nose; Saturday: Sofie is fine; Sunday: Maia gets a cough and runny nose.
SECOND trip to the pedi's on Monday, and Maia has an ear infection!
Thursday: Sofie gets cough and runny nose back.
THIRD trip to the pedi's on Friday, and Sofie has an ear infection! And of course Mommy doesnt feel well now.

...And that brings us to now!
Yesterday, the girls went to the zoo with Auntie J and Brent (and Mommy went to the casino!).

Getting ready for the Zoo

Sofia

Sofia can officially crawl, although it is still not her preferred method of traveling.
She says 'mama' and means me, the Mommy! She also says 'Bob' for her pink girl teddy bear when she wants to go to sleep.
She does awesome with the table foods and will eat just about anything, the only problem is that she does eat everything you put in front her at once.
She is trying to pull up on everything.
She puts her arms up and makes an *O* mouth when you say "BOOM".
She waives

Maia

Maia bounces on her booty to get places.
She says 'ah da' when she's *all done* eating.
She is trying to pull up on eveything.
She dances.
She points.
She waives.
Her two top front teeth are coming in.

Maia and Brent

Today we went to the beach for the first time with Auntie J!

This One's Dedicated to the Ones I Love...

Today was our baby dedication ceremony. The girls wore party dresses, little girly shoes, and bows in their hair. It was a big day!

The church itself is one of the oldest in town with a very unique history, the minister is a remarkable woman, and the ceremony was more earth-based than a traditional baptism.

And now its only 7pm and both girls have been sound asleep for over an hour! They had a great time today seeing everyone, it was very exciting. So thank you for spending this day with us (and tiring out my little girls so that I can relax)!
