Springtime!

Finally some good weather! We were able to go to the park on Saturday, my first time taking them alone as walkers. They liked the slide and said 'weeee' when the other kids went down it.

Yesterday we were supposed to spend the morning playing in Newport but it ended up raining, so instead we went to the mall with 4 other sets of twins!

Today we went to the zoo with Mimi & Pops, we saw lots of animals, although Maia was afraid of most of them, she kept saying, "buh bye kitty," she was still tired from yesterday. Then we played in the park for a bit and went out to lunch with Mimi.

17mo old

Today the girls are 17mo old! They are walking everywhere and saying everything! They even sing their ABC's and 123's.

The time change really helped our schedule, the girls are now sleeping until 7-730am, eating lunch at lunchtime, napping afterward, eating dinner at dinnertime and going to bed at 715pm.

Sofia does not like wearing socks and shoes, takes them off instantly and says 'tickle' or 'piggies'; she will repeat anything you say, some of her new favorite words being up, on, ball, tv, dance, boogies, crazy, fries, blueberries, ham; and she likes to imitate facial expressions. She can be a bit of a drama queen and does not like to play alone.

Maia does not like sweatshirts and jackets, she unzips them and takes them off; she is very helpful with cleaning up and putting away dirty clothes, but she is also a tattletale. She climbs on everything and everyone, she sings the wheels on the bus and rolls her hands, and she loves to build and take apart her toys, but she has a wicked temper and gets easily frustrated.

Today we have been playing outside, here are some pictures:

Catching up

We went to see our first live band: Toe Jam Band. We met Debbie and Caitlin there plus we saw a bunch of friends from music class. The girls ran in two different directions and we were all exhausted. Walking (which is very quickly progressing to running) has become the preferred mode of travel.

This week we will be starting the Toddler Music Class! We graduated from the Infant Music Class. I also signed the girls up for a toddler fitness class and swimming lessons in the coming months. The warmer weather cannot come soon enough.

Their wakeup time has been predictable for the couple of weeks, FINALLY, they were getting up between 6-630, and all it took was putting them to bed 15mins earlier! Now with the time change, they are going to bed shortly after 7 and sleeping until 7-730, something I can get used to!

We finished breastfeeding at exactly 16mo, and of course the girls got a cold a few days later, I had some serious 'mommy guilt' thinking it was because they were not getting the antibodies, then I got the cold.

Some new words are: apple, spoon, ham, blueberries, up, and keys.

Finally a picture with Uncle Paul

Yesterday it was so nice out, in the 60s, Auntie J took the girls to the playground while I worked. And its snowing today! Typical!
